On a night flight...

I just returned from the 'spiritual' village of Ubud Bali where everyone is either a yoga teacher, a psychic medium or healer... everyone talks about energy bursting through the physical realm due to uber sensitivity and heightened senses... Not all who wander are lost but the fish that seeks water can be pretty confused. While all spiritual teachings talk about how nothing is wrong with us, that we are whole and perfect miracles… you flip the page and it is all about how something is very wrong with us.. that we need to heal, integrate, change, manipulate or control the way we are… from whatever concepts of self to whatever concepts you think you should be. Its all a bit confusing. Perhaps the 'spiritual' world of seekers can be another avenue for egos to splash about. Just another ego playground heading to more suffering. (which is the exact reason why the seeking began in the first place).

So I had a  bit of a revelation on the way home. I was sitting in the plane looking out of the window on a late night flight. The night sky was full of stars. It was stunning. I am on one of those stars out of infinite stars. One tiny speck out of billions of birth and death cycles. What does it matter anyway what my ego says? Just keep wondering at beautiful night skies, at stars and mountains, at music and arts that touches the divine, at the gifts of nature, at sweet little kittens… at the divinity of life itself.

Thats spirituality to me. Namaste. (oh and of course yoga is cool too)
