Dreams of love and peace
I have recently encountered a trickle of religious individuals asking about meditation and yoga being a dangerous opening to demonic forces entering their pure loving and tolerant lives. It is an interesting question... I have learnt not to attempt such questions. For it is not the question's fault or the answer's burden but the questioner's convoluted beliefs.
Instead of dull ego driven debates, I implore all such questioners to contemplate on a quote from the Course in Miracles that 'Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God.'
In truth, what is real differs for each individual obviously... and what truly gives me comfort is to know that every single mental construct in every single saint or sinner ultimately performs on the same little blue dot of a stage called planet earth. That orbits in an immense sea of planets in a vast galaxy...
It really doesn't matter to me what is real to you. It only matters that they are peaceful, loving, gentle, comforting or sweet thoughts that brings with it a balloon of similar feelings. Like when we look at little children running by the beach or clouds forming shapes of animals... I only hope that such beliefs (and all other beliefs) brings peace and happiness to you. Whether it is power, greed, lust, anger, fear... or love, freedom, compassion, honesty, beauty... as long as your beliefs brings you happiness and peace.
It is the same dream that we dream of after all. Namaste!
