My Kitten’s silence

My kitten sits silently, a beautiful bundle of tenderness, looking lovingly at me. I smiled at him and felt the gratitude of his love. In a world charged with anger, harshness and aggression to ‘get what we want’ at the expense of others, my Kitten’s silence is a gentle refuge.

The illusions of ownership and competition has coloured the world obsessed with strive and desires. The cost of which is the devastation of tenderness and much unkindness. It’s too high a price to pay for nothing.

In the midst of the corona virus, we are asked to slow down and sit with ourselves. To touch the divine within instead of chasing the mundane without. We are asked to stop the insanity of brutality towards each other, in the pursue of the material and the illusory. And to look at what truly matters. We are asked to silence the constant mind chatter and distractions, to stop the numbing out with constant distractions... and to just simply sit in silence with ourselves and to return to love.

I hope.... it is the beginning of a more feminine world filled with forgiveness and compassion. We have all hurt and been hurt. Now... can we begin to love and be loved?

Namaste.
